Delivery & compatibility

When online ordering opens, completed orders will receive an email with a link to download the selected ZIP package. No physical items are shipped. Each package includes the capture files, installation notes, and a preset list.

TONEX v2 and NAM are separate purchases and are not interchangeable. You need compatible TONEX software or a NAM A2-compatible player. Player software, hardware, and third-party licenses are not included. The Everything Tone Pack includes the nine current amp packs and 149 captures in the selected format; future releases are not included unless expressly stated.

If a download email is missing or a file will not open, contact us with your order number and selected format.

Refunds & cancellations

For a duplicate purchase, incorrect download, or technical problem, email gainworksinfo@gmail.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We will review the request and help resolve it, including a replacement download or refund where appropriate. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Use of the captures

Use Gainworks captures to create your own recordings and performances, including commercial music. Do not redistribute, share, resell, or repackage the capture files themselves. Amp and software brand names identify the equipment and compatible formats; Gainworks is an independent producer and is not endorsed by those manufacturers.

Twenty years of finding the right tone.

GAINWORKS grew out of 20 years of running a recording studio, recording bands, and finding the right guitar sound for each session.

The amps behind these captures are the ones I’ve kept over the years because they consistently deliver—both in the room and on a recording. Each has earned its place through the way it sounds and sits in a mix.

With GAINWORKS, I’m bringing that collection and experience to TONEX and NAM, so you can put these studio favorites to work in your own music.

Find your format. Find your tone.

Which format should I choose?

Choose TONEX for your TONEX setup, or NAM for a compatible Neural Amp Modeler player. Formats are sold separately and are not interchangeable.

Why only TONEX and NAM?

We’re focusing on TONEX and NAM to keep downloading, installing, and managing your Gainworks captures straightforward. We’re not offering Quad Cortex packs at this time because its transfer and distribution workflow doesn’t suit how we deliver our packs. We’ll consider additional formats as compatibility and delivery options evolve.

What comes in a tone pack?

Captures of the featured amp and cabinet, with different settings to explore. See each pack’s capture details. Required software and hardware are not included.

How do I install my captures?

Extract the downloaded ZIP and follow the installation guide included with your pack. Import the TONEX presets into TONEX, or load the NAM models in your compatible player.

What am I hearing in the demos?

The demo audio comes from the TONEX captures of each featured amp. NAM versions are also available separately.

Can I try Gainworks first?

Yes. Start with the free Epiphone Valve Jr BitMo Mods pack, available in TONEX and NAM formats.

Why no impulse responses or amp-only captures?

I wanted to focus on the tones I actually use in the studio. Each Gainworks capture includes the amp, cabinet, and microphone setup together, preserving the complete sound I record with. That’s why I’m not currently offering standalone impulse responses or amp-only captures.
