I honestly can’t remember where this amp came from. It just seemed to show up in the studio years ago. For a long time, I didn’t pay it much attention—until a guitar player asked about it during a session.
We pulled it out, tried it with a few different cabinets, and quickly realized it did something special: that old, tweedy kind of sound with loads of character. I’ve used it on many sessions since.
It’s instant classic-rock tone. Think Jimmy Page and Joe Walsh. Sometimes the amp you overlook turns out to be exactly the one a song needs.
