A small amp with a huge range of voices.
I got to custom-order this amp when I had an artist deal with Bad Cat back in 2012. What a killer amp it turned out to be.
The different tone-stack options, selectable 12AX7/EF86 preamp, and boost settings give it a remarkable range. There are so many ways to shape its response and find the right voice for a part.
It’s great in the studio and just as good for smaller live gigs. I think of it as a handwired AC15 on steroids: familiar in spirit, but with plenty of its own personality and flexibility.
