I’ve owned just about every variation of the 2203 and 2204 JMP and JCM amps. When I bought this Goldfinger, I had two JMPs, a JCM800, and a 50-watt Plexi. This was the amp that convinced me I could cover all that ground with one amplifier.
The British drive sounds would have been enough to win me over, but the clean channel sealed the deal. It has a beautiful hi-fi clarity that gives the amp a completely different side. For me, it brought an entire collection of favorite sounds together in one place.
